Tour description

Start this 7-kilometre walk in the forest in Oslo adventure at the
Frognerseteren metro station. Walk with a local guide through marked
trails enjoying the natural surroundings and breathing fresh air.
Walk 3.5 kilometres, and after that make a stop at a traditional wooden
cabin to experience Norwegian hospitality. Enjoy a typical cup of hot
chocolate and homemade pastries included in the tour price. After
experiencing the fantastic view of the forest and savouring the cosy
atmosphere of the cabin walk back with your guide to the starting point
at the metro station located 3,5 kilometres from the cabin.
This is an ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. Most importantly it is a low
footprint environmental local adventure.

Meeting point

The tour starts at Frognerseteren metro station line 1 westbound from
the city centre.
We can also pick you up at a hotel in the city centre or Cruise port.
Please advice hotel address or cruise ship name and arrival port when
you do the booking.

This walk in the forest in Oslo is an outdoor activity, therefore your
clothing and footwear are important. The golden rule is dress according
to the weather conditions and above all feel comfortable.
May to September: This is the summer season in Oslo, however be
prepared for rain and wind. Dress according to the weather. Comfortable
hiking shoes/boots, small backpack with water bottle extra warm clothes.
Rain or wind proof jacket according to the weather. Hat or cap,
sunglasses and sun cream.
October to December: Expect cold conditions, dress according to the
weather. Comfortable warm hiking boots, woollen socks, woollen
thermal clothes, warm jacket, woollen hat and gloves. Small back pack

January to April: This is our winter season, although we get a fair
share of snow, there could be winters with little or no snow. Dress
according to the weather. Cross Country Skiing equipment, woollen
socks, woollen thermal clothes, woollen sweater and warm jacket, cross
country trousers, woollen hat and gloves, tube or scarf. Small back pack
with extra warm clothes and drink.
